Do you feel like you clean your house 24/7? I know I do, and it’s so frustrating. While browsing the internet, I came upon Clean Mama and her system of keeping your house clean by only cleaning a short time each day. Intrigued, I read more and discovered she has a book called Simply Clean: The Proven Method for Keeping Your Home Organized, Beautiful and Clean in Just 10 Minutes a Day.
It’s no secret I’m a huge geek for books, so I immediately went onto Amazon and ordered it. Yay prime! It came two days later and I devoured it (not literally, but you know what I mean) in the same afternoon.
This book is CHOCK full of goodies, y’all. She goes in depth into her cleaning system, which was awesome for me because I wondered how she came up with what to clean each day. I knew her cleaning schedule but reading the book with explanations on her how and why the system is set like it is was awesome.
- Monday: Bathrooms
- Tuesday: Dust
- Wednesday: Mop
- Thursday: Vacuum
- Friday: Catch-all
- Saturday: Sheets/Towels
- Sunday: Rest
Not only that, but then she gives recipes for her cleaning solutions to use!
Honestly, I’m still working on following it precisely, but I have noticed that I’ve calmed down on expecting my house to be perfect (which is something she talks about in the book). And I am setting goals for myself to not clean alllll day. I definitely can thank this book for that! I plan on making her cleaning solutions as I run out of the store bought cleaners I have.
This is definitely a book that will live on my shelf as a reference forever.
