It’s official, I am in love with fountain pens.

It started innocently enough. I was perusing the planner Facebook group I’m in and came across someone talking about a pilot metropolitan fountain pen, and how inexpensive it was.
Curiosity got the better of me (and fear of missing out), so I hopped onto Amazon and ordered one.
After inking it up and writing one sentence, I knew I had fallen into another rabbit hole.
I now have 5 fountain pens and a wide variety of ink, and it’s just such a fun hobby. The funny thing is, I’ve never considered myself a “stick with one brand” kind of girl, and I just can’t seem to get away from the Twsbi pens. They’re demonstrator pens, which means you can see the ink. I totally love watching the ink slosh around in the barrel.
Having inky hands is part of the fun 😉
Fountain Pens I Own
Pilot Metropolitan in fine nib.
Twsbi Eco in fine nib
Twsbi diamond mini in fine nib
Twsbi vac mini in medium nib
Wancai Moonman in stub nib
The nib size refers to how wide of a line you will write with. If you hadn’t noticed, I like a fine line haha. However, I just received my Twsbi vac mini in a medium nib and it writes like butter on paper, so I may be converted. I also am using this teeeensy tiny moonman pen with a stub nib (which is 1.1 mm line size), and I really really love the wide line for doing headings in my journal.
I’ve slowly moved away from using gel ink pens (gasp! I know, they were my favorite for years), and I now solely use fountain pens as my every day writers, such as in my blog planner.
It seems silly, but there’s just something so fun and magical about inking up a pen and writing with it. I have been sampling a ton of inks recently (from Goulet Pens), so stay tuned to see a post about that, along with my favorite inks!
Do you use fountain pens?
