We are all searching for it, that elusive balance in life. If you’ve added blogging into the mix, you may find yourself asking (like I do), how can I balance blogging and life better?
Ironically, this post comes at the tail end of me taking a two week hiatus from blogging so I could catch up on life. And I’m not even going to sugarcoat this post for you, finding time to blog can be hard. Especially if you’re also balancing family, work, home life, and friends. Oh did I mention eating healthy and drinking plenty of water and getting plenty of rest? Yep, that too.
One of the biggest things I’ve learned since taking on blogging is that you have to make time for it. If you don’t, it gets pushed to the wayside and forgotten. And, since I just mentioned it above, I am guilty of doing that.
I’m also terribly guilty of feeling like I need to have everything on my to do list done around the house before I can blog. It’s something I’m personally working on, and even as I type this I can tell you honestly that my office is covered in Legos and children’s books from my kids.
So the truth is, if you write every day, and do a little bit every single day on your blog, you can and will keep that balance. OR, if you’re like me, you can sit down and work on your blog for six hours one day, and then not work on it the next two. Ya know, balance.
I don’t think there’s a magical solution to balance blogging and life, it’s just finding what works for you and going with it. And being flexible with your process. And also realizing that every one of us struggles with finding balance and it’s something we’re all working on.
